Monte Zoncolan and the surrounding Carnic ridges are within this landscape, with mountain roads leading toward the passes on the Austrian border. The nearest ski area is Ravascletto-Zoncolan, about 25–35 minutes by car depending on the hamlet. Tolmezzo is the nearest larger town, with hospitals, secondary schools and the main services of the upper Friuli valleys.
