Rustico in linea

The cluster sits in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, a belt of low wine hills on the Slovenian side of the Udine plain. The Judrio river is nearby on the border side, and the Isonzo/Soča is a short distance to the east around Cormons and Gorizia. This is vineyard country, with woods, scattered hamlets and ridgelines of vines around Rosazzo, Manzano and Cormons. The nearest town of size is Udine, which provides the main services and rail links for the area. Rosazzo is known for its abbey and for white wines from the Colli Orientali and Rosazzo DOCG zone. Cividale del Friuli, within the same wider hill belt, has a major historic centre with UNESCO status.
