The Astico river runs through the valley. The area is tied to the Pasubio and Monte Cimone sector, with mountain roads and trailheads rising above the valley floor; the nearest winter skiing is on the Folgaria-Lavarone plateau, roughly 40–50 minutes by road depending on the access point. Schio is the nearest larger town, with full services, rail access and a substantial historic industrial centre.
