The Brenta group is visible farther west in clear conditions, but the local landscape is the high plateau of woods, pastures and small contrade. The nearest ski area is on the Asiago Plateau around Melette and Monte Verena, roughly 30–45 minutes by road depending on the lift. Asiago is the nearest town of size on the plateau, with the main services and a substantial town centre. The area is known for First World War sites on the plateau and for mountain pasture farming, including Asiago cheese.
