The Astico valley is the main landform here, and the area sits close to the Trentino border. The Altopiano dei Fiorentini and the Tonezza-Fiorentini highlands are within this radius, with open mountain meadows as well as forest. The nearest ski area is Folgaria-Fiorentini, with lifts around Fondo Grande and Costa, roughly half an hour by road depending on the exact hamlet. Arsiero is the nearest town of some size in the valley and has basic services; Schio is the larger urban centre farther down the valley. This part of the province is known for mountain pastures, hiking and the military-history landscapes of the Pasubio and nearby First World War front areas.
