The Brenta group is farther west and visible from some parts of the plateau. The area is known for meadows, forests and scattered contrade, and for First World War sites on the plateau. Asiago is the nearest town of size, with everyday services and a historic centre. The nearest ski area is the Asiago plateau system around Kaberlaba and the Melette area above Gallio, reached in roughly 20 to 35 minutes depending on the lift. Bassano del Grappa is the nearest larger town for wider services, downhill at the foot of the plateau.
