Location score 72/100Monte Grappa rises immediately north of Bassano del Grappa, with the Venetian Prealps forming the local horizon. The Brenta runs through the town and out into the plain. Bassano del Grappa is a substantial town with a large historic centre, the Ponte degli Alpini, rail links and full daily services. The area is known for grappa production, ceramics and its position at the meeting point of the plain and the Prealpine valleys. The nearest ski areas are on the Asiago plateau and around the Belluno foothills, reached by mountain roads and not part of the immediate 15 km landscape.
