The cluster lies at the foot of the Venetian Prealps, with the Altopiano di Asiago rising immediately to the north and northwest and wooded slopes and limestone ridges closing the upper Astico valley. The Astico river runs through this area. The northern edge of the province here links into the Prealpine mountain landscape associated with the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities, and roads climb quickly from the valley floor toward mountain villages and high pastures. The nearest substantial town is Schio, which has full services, industry, and a larger historic centre. This part of the Vicenza foothills is known for its First World War mountain front and for hiking and cycling routes on the Asiago plateau.
