Ski lifts are at Monte Agudo above Auronzo, with the Tre Cime ski area at Misurina and Cortina d’Ampezzo reached by mountain road. Auronzo has the basic services of a small mountain town, while Cortina is the nearest larger centre with a wider tourist economy and amenities. The area is known for access to the Tre Cime, alpine lakes such as Misurina, and summer and winter mountain tourism.
