This is low hill country between the lower Trigno valley and the Adriatic side of Molise, with farmland, olive groves and small wooded patches. The Trigno river valley is nearby to the north. The nearest coast is the Adriatic around San Salvo and Montenero di Bisaccia, with beaches reached in roughly 20–30 minutes by road. The nearest larger centres are Termoli and Vasto, which provide the main rail links, hospitals, larger shops and port or marina facilities. This part of Molise is known for olive oil, mixed farming and small hilltop settlements.
