The Adriatic railway and the SS16/A14 motorway run along this part of the coast, and Roseto has a local station on the Adriatic line. The immediate hinterland rises to low Apennine foothills within a few kilometres, with agricultural land (vineyards, olive trees and orchards) on the slopes. Nearby small coastal towns with similar beach-resort economies include Alba Adriatica, Tortoreto and Giulianova. No national park or UNESCO landscape lies within about 15 km; the Gran Sasso/Parco Nazionale is farther inland.
