The Belluno Dolomites National Park begins a short distance to the east around the Feltre side of the mountains, while the area also sits close to the edge of the Tesino and Valsugana uplands. The nearest larger town is Feltre, which has a walled historic centre, services and rail connections. The area is known for its lake-and-mountain setting on the old route between Feltre and Trento.
