Casa colonica in Fubine Monferrato

This is the flat to gently rolling countryside between Alessandria and the lower Monferrato hills, with fields, scattered farmsteads and small villages. The Tanaro runs a few kilometres to the south, and the Po plain landscape is close by. Alessandria is the nearest town of size, with full services, a rail junction and a substantial historic centre. The wider area is known for agriculture and, north and west toward Monferrato, for wine country, but the immediate surroundings of Quargnento are mainly ordinary rural plain-edge terrain.
