The cluster sits in the rolling hill country between the Tesino and Tronto valleys. The Adriatic coast is nearby at San Benedetto del Tronto, but the immediate setting is inland farmland and ridges rather than coast. The Sibillini Mountains rise inland to the west and form the main mountain backdrop for this part of southern Marche. Offida has a substantial historic centre with brick streets and churches, and it is known for wine production, especially Rosso Piceno and Passerina, and for traditional tombolo lace. Offida is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia.
