Ortucchio – villa indipendente con giardino privato

The cluster is in the Fucino basin, a broad inland plain enclosed by the central Apennines, with the Velino-Sirente mountains to the north and the Abruzzo ranges around the Marsica to the south and east. Nearby is the former bed of Lake Fucino, now reclaimed farmland that defines the landscape around Ortucchio. The Parco naturale regionale Sirente-Velino begins within this wider mountain setting to the north. The nearest ski areas are on Monte Magnola above Ovindoli and at Campo Felice, both roughly about an hour by road depending on conditions. Avezzano is the nearest sizeable town, with rail links, shops and services. The area is known for the drained Fucino plain and its intensive agriculture.
