Casa colonica in Seren del Grappa

The southern edge of the Dolomites rises immediately north of Feltre, with the Belluno Prealps and the Massiccio del Grappa close by. The Piave basin and the lower course of the Stizzon run through the area, and Lake Corlo at Arsiè is within this radius. Much of the mountain ground nearby is in the Parco Nazionale delle Dolomiti Bellunesi. The nearest ski lifts are the Monte Avena area above Feltre, a short drive from town. Feltre itself is the main town nearby, with a walled historic centre on a hill and regular services. The Belluno Dolomites are part of the UNESCO Dolomites World Heritage Site. The area is known for mountain pasture, forested slopes and the transition from the Veneto plain to the Dolomite valleys.
