The cluster is in the Prealpi Bresciane, on the upland between Brescia and Lake Garda. The Chiese river valley lies to the west and south-west, and the edge of Lake Garda around Salò and Gardone Riviera is within about 15 km to the east. The Parco Alto Garda Bresciano begins on the Garda side nearby, covering the inland ridges above the lake. Brescia is the nearest city of size, with full services, rail connections and major historic monuments. This part of the province is known for limestone uplands, woods and pasture, and for being the inland approach from Brescia to the Val Sabbia and the western Garda hills.
