Rustico in Castelleone

This is the central Po plain between the Adda and Oglio river systems, with flat agricultural land, canals and scattered farmsteads. The Adda river corridor is the main nearby natural feature, with the Parco Regionale Adda Sud covering stretches of river landscape, woodland and cultivated plain in this part of the province. Crema is the nearest town of size, with a historic centre and services, and Cremona is the larger provincial city for daily and weekly needs. The area is known for intensive farming and for the irrigated plain of Lombardy.
