Rustico in Cesenatico

This is on the Romagna plain close to the Adriatic coast and the Canal Port of Cesenatico, the historic canal associated with Leonardo da Vinci, is the main local feature. The coast here is low and sandy, with beaches, pinewoods and the saline wetland area around Cervia within the wider 15 km zone. Rimini and Cesena are the nearest larger centres for services, rail links and hospitals. The area is known for seaside tourism, fishing and flat agricultural land behind the coast.
