Household wiring installed before 13 March 1990 counts as compliant if it has a main breaker with overcurrent protection, protection against direct contact and a 30 mA RCD. Having a firm bring the existing wiring up to that and certify it is the cheapest lawful route.

The area is tied to the Banna stream basin and to the wider agricultural landscape between Chieri and Asti. Chieri is the nearest larger town and provides the main services, schools and shops for this side of the province. The area is known for vineyards, cereals and mixed farming, but it is not inside one of the more distinctive wine landscapes of southern Monferrato or the Langhe.
