Within this radius the landscape is mostly cereal hills, pasture and wooded slopes, with the Nebrodi range becoming the main relief a short distance north. Part of the southern edge of Parco dei Nebrodi lies within reach north of Cerami. The nearest substantial town is Nicosia, which has the usual services and a large historic hill town core. This part of inland Enna and the Nebrodi fringe is known for stock farming, grain and mountain villages.
