The nearest town of size is Partinico, which has the normal services of a medium small town; Alcamo and Castellammare del Golfo are also close in daily use. Palermo is the main city for higher-level services and the airport at Punta Raisi is relatively near. This part of western Sicily is known for vineyards, olive groves and citrus cultivation.
