Villetta a schiera in Via Caone 1

The cluster sits on the eastern side of the province of Rieti in inland Lazio, in the transition zone between the low agricultural plain (the Piana Reatina) and the foothills of the central Apennines. The immediate landscape is a mix of cultivated fields, small wooded patches and low hills rather than high mountains or a coastal/lagoon setting. There are no major lakes or national parks inside a 15 km radius; watercourses and small streams draining the Apennine slopes feed the local plain. The nearest larger town is Rieti (provincial capital), which provides shops, administrative services, a hospital and regional road connections; smaller villages and service centres are scattered on secondary roads. The area is served by regional roads linking inland Lazio to Abruzzo; the sea is on the Tyrrhenian coast some 85 km away.
