Nearby Norcia is the main historic centre for the high Valnerina and is known for cured meats and lentils from the Castelluccio plain area. The wider area is known for the Valnerina mountain valleys, forests, gorges, rafting on the Nera, and the high plain of Castelluccio farther east.
