Lago di Candia is at the village edge, with reedbeds and wetland around it inside the Parco Naturale del Lago di Candia. The Canavese plain and low morainic hills left by the Ivrea glacial amphitheatre shape the immediate landscape, and the Serra d'Ivrea is within this radius to the north-east. Ivrea is the nearest town of size, with a substantial historic centre and UNESCO status for the Olivetti industrial city. The area is known for the lake environment and for Erbaluce vineyards in the Canavese.
