Quadrilocale in Via Cavour 24

The area sits in the inland Umbrian hills between the upper Nestore valley and the ridge country west of Lake Trasimeno. Lake Trasimeno is within about 15 km to the north-west from the Piegaro side of the territory. Monte Pausillo and the wooded hills on the Umbrian-Tuscan border are nearby. Pietrafitta, with the Museo Paleontologico Luigi Boldrini and local services, is the nearest larger settlement in the immediate area, while Città della Pieve is the nearest notable hill town of size with a preserved historic centre. This part of western Umbria is known for olive groves, woods, tobacco and mixed farming, and Piegaro itself is known for glassmaking.
